Fun and Exciting Baby Shower Games to Play

Baby showers would not be a real party without baby shower games for the guests to play. This is the part of the get together that is possibly the most memorable and exhilarating event days before the baby is born. However, before the host starts with the baby shower games, it would be desirable that the guests the guests be introduced to everyone else so that they can share thoughts about the guest of honor. This will serve as a nice basis in conquering the baby shower games prepared by the host of the party. To help you out in the planning of these baby shower games, below is a checklist of some good ideas you might want to keep in mind.

Baby Shower Games BulletGuessing Mom-To-Be's Tummy Size

This activity is one of the all-time favorite baby shower games. For each participant, you will need a pair of scissors and string or yarn. Participants should be instructed to pull their string to the size they believe would be a perfect match to fit around the center of the mom-to-be's tummy. Compare the results to the actual tummy size after all guests have finished making their guesses. The prize winner will be the one that guesses closest to the actual tummy size.

Baby Shower Games BulletName The Baby Items

This is one of the simplest games to play. A pen and a piece of paper for each guest are all the materials needed for this game. The rules are simple also, have each guest write on a piece of paper the names of as many baby products as they can. Items such as pacifiers, diapers, rattles are good examples. A time limit, such as five minutes should be set and whoever writes down the most baby products in that time period wins the prize.

Baby Shower Games BulletGuess The Chocolate

Be sure to melt the chocolate before the game and place each piece on the diaper for all of the guests to view as the game progresses.Label the diapers with 1, 2, 3 or A, B, C, and so on. The guests will then have to guess the type of chocolate in each diaper. Choose chocolates that have caramel, nuts or toffee in it for an added thrill. The contestant with the most correct guesses gets the prize.

Baby Shower Games BulletBaby Tunes

Materials needed for this baby shower game include a cassette or CD player. Collect cassettes or CDs with baby songs and play them for the guests. The guests then have to name the song being played. Whoever guesses the most baby tunes quickest is the game winner. This game also works well with teams and keeping score.

Baby Shower Games BulletBottle Race

Baby bottles and milk or any suitable drink your guests will enjoy are the materials needed for this game. Let your guests drink from the bottles just like a baby would. The guest who drinks the most in the allotted time wins the game and the prize. Everyone will surely be laughing before this game ends!

Baby Shower Games BulletBaby Shower Lotto

The materials list for this activity include a calendar with large, easy to read dates, normal pens and highlighter pens. Place the calendar of the month of the mom-to-be's due date at the front door so guests will notice when they arrive. Be sure to highlight the due date to give guests an idea of the date and time to pick. Divide each day into two parts - A.M. and P.M., this way the guests can choose the date along with the general time that the baby will be born.

Guests can then "buy in" if they choose to do so, to a particular day and time they think the baby will be born. You can let the guests know they can pay for their ticket with things other than money. Things that can be useful for the new parents such as baby items make a great alternative payment for the ticket purchase. Of course, the winner will not receive their prize for the closest guess until after the baby is born.
