Making Keepsake Baby Shower Corsages

Pick your colors.
It is best to coordinate your baby shower corsages with the color scheme of your party. If you don't have a specific  color scheme, you can stick with either pink or blue, depending on the baby's gender. White is also a good choice and should work well with all of your guest's outfits.

Choosing Your Flowers.
Baby's breath, tea roses, carnations, and orchids are traditionally the flowers used in creating corsages. One simple flower or a combination of flowers is suitable to use. Other flowers may work just as well, it just depends on your preferences and shower theme. Make sure your choice of flowers matches your party scheme. For example, daisies may clash with a more sophisticated baby shower. Silk flowers can also be used for baby shower corsages if you  prefer something that will last.

Prepare your supplies.
The items that you will need to create a baby shower corsage are scissors, glue (if you're not using fresh flowers), fabric ribbon cut into strips, floral wire and floral tape. You will also need straight pins if you plan on the guests wearing the corsages on their lapels or wristlets or elastic if you want them to wear the corsages on their wrists.

Creating your baby shower corsage.
Begin by cutting flowers to the length that you may prefer. It is best to have each flower the same length so that all the corsages will match.

Once you have cut the flowers, use floral wire attached to the stem of each flower so you can shape the stem like a hairpin. Make sure you twist the ends of the wire to prevent guests from accidentally pricking themselves. Next, use floral tape to completely wrap the wired stems. Make sure to arrange the flowers before taping them into a bundle. Some knowledge of flower arranging will come in handy.

Make sure the flowers are securely tied together. Next, tie a strip of ribbon around to create a bow. When finishing up, use the wire from your steps to loop around and attach the corsage to the wristlet.

Test one of the corsages on yourself to make sure it fits comfortably. If so, then follow the steps above to create the rest. If it doesn't work out, try some simple adjustments to improve the way the baby shower corsage feels. If you are using fresh flowers, make sure to keep the corsages refrigerated until they will be used.
